I am beyond thrilled to announce that my debut romantasy novel, Bonds of Blood and Duty, is coming in late 2025. Whilst including some of our fabourite tropes such as forbidden love, slow-burn romance and found family, Bonds of Blood and Duty gives a refreshing take on fae romantasy.

Evelin's greatest secret isn't her love for a rival fae king, but the human child she bore- and the dangerous truths that could tear their realms apart...
This book is so special to me for a multitude of reasons, but most importantly it was inspired by the journey I have been on with my youngest son. P has Williams Syndrome, a rare genetic disability, which gave me the initial idea for Bonds. It draws on my own experiences of having a child who has been born different and what it is like to search for answers in a world that judges difference far too harshly.
When I first found out about Peter’s condition, everything I pictured for our lives changed in an instant. Since then, I did copious research into the history of Williams Syndrome and found that some scholars believe that people with WS might have been the inspiration for some of the first legends of elves and fairies. Those with WS often have distinct facial features called ‘elfin facies’; this started me thinking about what it might be like if the person born ‘different’ was human instead.
I hope you love reading it as much as I have loved writing it.
Published by Cranthorpe Millner, Bonds of Blood and Duty will be available later this year!
